Iron question?

So my friend had ferreton in the 90's but serum iron is 8

Range for serum 10 - 30

Ferreton 30 - 200

Would you need to supplement, im also told by my cardiologist that inflammation can cause false high readings of ferreton, i ask as im wondering if this is my case as suffering with high heart rate and breathlessness, my recent b12 was 600 and active was good, have started some iron in last few days and heart rate better as well as breathlessness, however experiencing more tingling in feet and legs, and legs heavier at night, not sure whether the iron tabs causing this or my thyroid which is still underactive atm? My recent ferreton was 77 and serum 11?

Your ferritin leveks is good . I was told by Gp 40-80 .should relieve any symptoms. Some ate fine on lower levels. Such a big rangenough 'normal

As your other levelements low I would ask a doctor about what to take. I get hb done which is always stable.

Thanks older post , but my thyroid is now just out of range but my ferritin has dropped from 77 to 47 within 5 weeks so wondering if underactive thyroid has caused this, being retested in few weeks to see if further drop

Yes hypothyroidism drops ferritin levels. My daughter is sub clinical and ferritin dropped to 10 at present but gp wouldn't the treatment thyrpid problem? ??

My ferritin since December has dropped from 61 (not taking iron) to 29 at present taking iron?? Only dropped since needing b12 njections s
