Leber's Hereditary Optic Neuropathy (LHON) is only a problem with cyanocobalamin (and smoking and alcohol). Because it's a mutation in mitochondrial DNA you would expect there to be some family history of LHON on your mother's side, or any of your siblings.
It sounds like you may be one of those people who have an adverse reaction to methylcobalamin.
I've been having g hydroxocobalamin b13 injections for 1o10&hvnetw months . I still have problems with light and noise sensitivity and visual problems. I've stopped using ibrufren as can cause light sensitivity and tint bleeds if over used which I probably have with awful headaches /migrsins. I personally don't think that's the problem and haven't found much difference. I'm hoping one of the lingerie g probkrms ti be resolved. I hope yourshe improves very quickly.
I felt my vision was worse at first too, but a sight test was absolutely no different, oddly. It seemed to improve over time though and I'm still seeing clearly through my old reading glasses!
