B12 Storage temperature??

I have been self injecting for 5mths every other day . Initially good results, many symptoms easing or gone. Now some gradually returning. Tiredness constant. Could this be due to not putting the ampules in the fridge during the hot spell of weather? They were in a north facing room,no sun whatever. How easily does B12 degrade? I am quite willing to discard the 3 x10 boxes that are left ---but!!!

Thankyou

Your hydroxocobalamin says it should be stored below 25 C. But it should be perfectly fine if it goes higher than that for short periods, as long as it's in the dark. I had 150 ampoules stored on a shelf in my bedroom and all that seems to be working just as well as before.

Do what I'm doing. Carry on using them and see if they still work OK. I'd be surprised if they don't.

It has an optimal temp on our ampoules and so bought a small temp gauge to see they stay at similar temp, moving them to a different room when necessary. I not sure the fridge is a good idea though.

How’s your folate levels? Also get ferritin and vit d checked. Your body uses up folate fast once your on b12 injections. Also once you start making new healthier blood cells your iron levels can fall.

Significant proportion of the uk are vit d deficient.

Low range levels in all of these can cause fatigue. You want folate near the top of the range (high teens), ferritin (80 for women, 100+ for man) and vit d - look into this as recommendations vary but I read the other day that a level of 125 is recommend if you have other deficiencies (these are all UK measures).
