Diverticulosis and b12 d

Does anyone know why diverticulosis would contribute to b12d? It occurs in the large bowel and not in the area involved with absorbing b12 as I understand it.

I cannot think of any reason why the two might be connected. About half of all people over 60 have diverticulae.

Hi,

I have read that diverticulosis can affect small intestine (small bowel)and terminal ileum but this is unusual.
