I’ve been SI with hydroxocobal every alternate day and my headaches seem to be worse the day after the shot. I have burning sensations in my forehead. Scalp. Parts of my body.
Does anyone know when things get better?
Please help as I’m feeling extremely low about this. Ive never had headaches before this.

It may take days , weeks, months once on regular injections if it’s due to b12 deficiency. It took more than 3 months for my burning sensation and other symptoms to reduce to tolerable amounts.
Which part of India are you from Prateek? Doctors might not have all the knowledge on this. Have you done the blood checks for thyroid and PA antibodies. Which brand and strength of hydroxocobalamin are you using. Personally I felt shit with cynacobalamin and hydroxocobalamin and only methycobalamin from Wockhard manufacturer works for me. I am not sure why this is as almost all of the forum members respond well with cyanacobalamin and hydroxocobalamin.
I am from Bangalore. Thyroid antibodies I haven’t tested but thyroid values are normal. I have to test for PA antibodies. I am going to do an H pylori test and have done an MMA and Homocysteine. Waiting on the results for the same.
I’m using trineurosol H 1ml which is hydroxocobalmin. I’m now trying methylcobalmin as well on alternate days to see if it works any better or faster. For me the main symptom is the daily headaches, I’m not weak. I can concentrate and everything. The issue isn’t the head aches and pressures. And burning sensation in the head.
Looking back through your previous post, I didn’t notice if you are taking folic acid and a daily multivitamin to support B12 injections.
When I was on hydroxo-B12, I got a headache and quite aggressive on the day of the jab. Since moving to the USA, I’m now on cyano-B12 and don’t have as severe a symptom.
I think it has more to do with being less deficient before the jab than it has to do with the type of B12.
How is your blood pressure? There are two arteries that run up along the temple to the top of the head. Does putting your finger on this artery and applying some pressure provide any relief from the headache? This of course is temporary but I find I can use this to manage the worst of my headache.
Repair of Neurological damage is very slow and takes months and years. So use a logbook to track your progress. For me, I also had short term memory loss and it was hard to remember things day to day.
