Gunj_redjem. I don't know what articles came up on your search but google can be full of mis-information, and headlines on reports from studies often don't help as they try to attract attention but when you look at the detail the study has found a correlation and recommends more research to establish the causal link. If the high B12 is because people have been treated for absorption problems then it may have been the previous B12 deficiency before they started that is the problem. Low B12 in pregnancy has also been found to correlate with autism.

If you have concerns I would suggest that you discuss them with your doctor but I am inclined to think that google-search is giving you disinformation in this instance.

My levels are usually 2000+ even during pregnancies. I don't test my levels often because they are always high. I have 2 children no autism. You can not plan for a perfect child, and there are many environmental factors that can lead to autism not just B12, supposedly. My children have allergies both to different foods. I have many healthy cousins who have children with autism, but no allergies. Like I said before you can not plan for a perfect child. You can only do your best to make sure that child is given the best chances for a healthy life and than love them there after. PS, none of us are perfect or in perfect health either, obviously.

Did you have safe delivery do you know your folate levels during pregnancy?

Hello, I am 33 weeks today. I do not know my folate levels as I have been symptom free and have not had reason to check. I reduced my b12 Inj. to once every 2 to 3 weeks, rather than every other day, depending on how long I can go without it. Sometimes it's 2 weeks sometimes its a few days longer. I stopped taking my folate and am just taking my prenatal and some extra Magnesium. Baby's 20 week ultrasound was normal and baby is growing, has healthy movements and a healthy heartbeat.
