Amy - did your anxiety start/get worse when you started treatment with methyl B12? Some people find that methyl B12 makes anxiety worse. I think this was mentioned in a post a week or so ago on TUK.
I know that your doctor has changed the B12 that you have been given but that it is still methyl. Did you ask if they could prescribe cyano or hydroxo instead? - or speak to the pharamacist about whether these options are available.
If methyl isn't the problem them the tablets will be okay. You may want to take the tablets with something acidic to aid digestion and absorption - a little lime or lemon juice in water. I'm not aware that there are any restrictions around timing of B12 in the same way as tends to be the case with thyroid medication (and the reason for the timing with thyroid medication is that levo tends to be absorbed a lot better on an empty stomach).
Amy, if you are taking your Thyroid medication in the morning (on its own ) and take it early with a glass of water only and one hour before breakfast - then you could take your B12 supplement one hour after breakfast or with your mid-morning snack or with your lunch. I understand that supplements need to be taken with or after food but at least 2 hours later than Thyroid medication.
But when Thyroid medication is taken at night, at least two hours after last food and drink, and on its own with water only - then supplements can be taken with or straight after breakfast.
