I have had fatigue the last few years but the last few months it’s been even worse. These are my results from a test a few weeks ago.

My b12 has gone up from 207 to 250 since Aug last year I was expecting it to be worse.

My thyroid had gone down so now normal and I was looking at treatment for that. I am really feeling down after picking these up because I have felt exhausted, Pins and needles in arms feet body, twitching eye, headaches, foggy head something must be going on it’s not in my head.

Sorry I had to add as one big picture as I couldn’t add multiple so you will need to zoom in to see the quality has decreased a lot when uploaded.

a) MCH result suggests microcytic anaemia (iron based)

b) RDW high which could be the microcytic anaemia but could also suggest a mix of iron a B12/folate deficiency.

c) serum B12 is very difficult to interpret - more significant is falling levels over time - in the range where people can be B12 deficient and also close enough to the bottom to be in the 20% accuracy anyway.

d) platelets look a bit out of range - may mean that you bruise more easily and take longer to stop bleeding - sometimes this crops up with B12 deficiency but it may be other things going on.

e) serum TSH very difficult to interpret as is serum B12 though TSH varies a lot eg due to time of day, whereas serum B12 tends not to.

Think there are a number of things to follow up on - particularly the iron at this point.

Probably tests for antibodies as well and some indications of on-going infection.

Clarifying tests for B12 are homocysteine and MMA

Thanks for your reply, I went to the docs today and they said my level of iron is fine and b12 bloods look ok and has no concern about either.

It’s so confusing, she does suspect Chronic Fatigue and is sending me to a specialist but I really thought my bloods looked on the low end.
