I await fbirder’s response to this .
Yes, indeed. Quite rightly appalled, I would think. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The response by fbirder was the first thing that popped into my head too!
Is there know lengths some 'professionals' will go to in order to make money, at the same time as ripping people off due to the misconceptions by lying & brainwashing people into thinking it works miracles for beauty & also fitness fanatics!
If B12 did actually work in this way, my thinning grey hair would have turned into a beautiful lions Maine by now with how much B12 I've 'had' to inject.
I would also have the body of Adonis & have so much energy, I'd be winning Mr Universe competitions 😁
As fbirder commented on a different post yesterday, I think I need to have a word with my conscience & alter my morals so I can become a millionaire 🙏
Yes fbirder is great . We are lucky to have him . No, don’t alter your morals please ! Just stay with us and send us your messages , which we all enjoy reading . 👍

Tigger62. In short, I wouldn't get an IV anything from a beautician!!
First, these 'providers' are not regulated in the same way as medically qualified health professionals and secondly, they are not qualified to fully asses whether and IV infusion is safe for a particular individual (medical history, pre-existing conditions etc.). These infusions are certainly NOT recommended for anyone with blood pressure, heart, kidney or liver problems.
IV injection is a high risk procedure and carries the risk of side effects, including infection - which can be severe and result in sepsis - if not carried out to the correct medical standard.
Also - some of these types of infusions can contain other vitamins and minerals - sometimes in very high doses. Is this an issue...might be...who knows is the point (over supplementing with some things is bad -B6, for instance).
On a different note, the body excretes excess B12 very quickly, so most of the excessive doses used in these treatment simply gets weeded out by the kidneys and flushed down the toilet.
It's probably a good money spinner for these kind of establishments...another very good reason to steer clear.
IM injections of B12 at the right frequency to adequately control symptoms is the safest and most effective method for treating B12 deficiency.
👍
I've had b12 by iv several times. i think there is b12 in a standard banana bag, which I have on occasion. I've also had b12 added to an iv push of other things instead of having the b12 injected separately. An iv push is a large syringe that is injected slowly into a vein over a few minutes, rather than on a slow drip through a bag.
I'm in the US and have only had these at medical centers. We do have medical spa centers all over that do all sorts of treatments like botox, etc. I'm not sure if they do IV treatments. There are physicians here who offer mobile IV services in places such as Las Vegas where hangover sufferers can have a range of nutrients to help recovery.
Yes, there are risks with IV treatment so it's important to have it done by a proper professional.
I haven't had the B12 IV enough times to know how well it did or didn't do. I can see the possibility of it wearing off faster. But I can't say if it did for me.
