H Pylori is very common but doesn't seem to cause problems for some. If you have any stomach issues I think it should be tested. I have had stomach problems for over 5 yrs and acid reflux issues. I had an endoscopy 2 yrs ago in UK they said it was fine and tested for h Pylori. Negative. I took very ill when abroad recently and was tested for H Pylori. Positive. All the stomache issues from the last 5yrs disappeared after treatment. Something obviously failed in the UK test. I would ask to be tested
Goodness all that time with problems. I suppose you will go on antibiotics now and hopefully get some relief when you've got over them. Yes I will then Thanks.
If you have gastric issues your GP should refer you to a gastroenterologist who will do the test, if not a comprehensive stool test would show this up but you have to pay 😕 here in France I paid around 150 pounds but I think its about the same in the UK. I found it really useful and made my doctors sit up and listen.
Okay thank you. I haven't any gastric symptoms . My main problem headaches and cranial nerve pain and extreme fatigue. . I just read untreated H- pylori can cause headaches . I think will get tested
Trying to rule things out. As struggling and stuck on the bed! Movement makes my head sore .
