Tightening of skull

Sounds a weird question but apart from the sizzling in my head my skull bones are so so sensitive . I had a sun hat on and dark glasses as so light sensitive still and when I took them off it felt like I still had them on?? Also dull aches in the frontal part of head with my ears popping on and off. When noise sensitive it makes my legs go weak. Any of this familiar to anyone ?? Definitely worse when weary or trying to read. Seems to have replaced the pressure I used to feel on top of my head. Just wondered ....

Is it possible you have fluid in your ears? I was attributing some strange sensations, dizziness, faintness, disorientation, etc to PA. It seems it was due to fluid in my ears. The popping and crackling in my ears lets me know now when fluid in my ears may be responsible for feeling off.

Other than that, i remember feeling skull pressure before treatment as well as being quite sensitive to noise and light. Walking in a market would put me in a weird, terrified trance because of the lighting. I remember feeling like i needed to shield myself and hide from it. ...and feeling quite sure i was losing my mind because of it! Those feelings resolved with B12 treatnent.

Hi Nackpan

I get pressure headaches which I think is due to the amount of b12 I take daily - I think one of the ingredients cause it according to what I have read somewhere on here.

Oh okay. I've not read that. Interesting. Would make sense . It's the seemingly tightening or tenseNess of skull bones so weird.

This site describes the problems with taking b12. It tends to contradict most of the comments on here about b12 being harmless so, if they read it, they will probably put us both right about the content of the article.

I think there is a massive gulf between the medical profession and what b12 deficient sufferers believe about b12 supplementation and it is very hard, as a sufferer, to know exactly what is true and what is fake news.

Whenever I have mentioned my b12 problems to any medical professional I’ve noticed a raising of eyebrows or a quickness to change the subject.

Yes I experienced that are my neurologist appointment and also with two g.ps. They don't know me. They all think I'm depressed and anxious . What they don't realise is that they are causing it. Nothing is worse when I'll not being believed or understood.

The proof was in the pudding as I improved with b12 injections

I’ve had extreme light sensitivity due to low B12, was very low.

Also sensitive hearing......loud noises were intolerable.

Both of these were due to very low B12 and much better after regular B12 injections once a week after a few months.

So light sensitivity and noise sensitivity can be symptoms of low B12.

Arrh right I think you the first person to get this badly like me on this forum . My serum b12 was 106. I've had loads of b12 injections now 30 since November. Presently on one a week. I tried to watch the TV in black and white today as sometimes able. It was a no no set my head off sizzling and makes my legs go weak. The noise sensitivity awful at the end of the day which is very early evening for Me. So I'm hoping if I keep going ito will improve then. I'm having the florescent kitchen and bathroom lights removed and the last time I went into a shop it set off a terrible migrain (that was new) had loads of headaches that lasted for a day at a time. I was told it was post concussion syndrome that caused the headaches and noise and light sensitivity. I'm not convinced by that as my fall was in August last year!! I'm glad it went away for you. Thanks for telling me it would be great if it left me too. B12 has solved alot of other horrid symptoms

Glad to hear B12 has helped with other things. Hope things get better for you, if you’ve fell and hit the back of your head and after the fall your symptoms started then it could be the cause but the symptoms coming on late after a fall I don’t know much to be able to tell you but maybe your Gp could send you for a brain scan if not already done so.

Those concussion symptoms sometimes take a while to go and improve slowly.

Wish I could be of more help but hope you improve with time and your symptoms get better.

Thankyou. Yes I had a cT scan and a brain mri.(showed a few scattered T2 which I think are tiny tiny bleeds)they not concerned about findings. Fingers crossed the b12 with time will get me a bit further on . I wish you well.
