New experience

I was feeling very weak. Tinnitus. Skull tightness, inner tremor. Listless so thought I'd dust the bedroom. Only managed half until I had to sit 'like a zombie ' on the bed again.

B12 IM booked at the surgery.

After a 40 minute wait in the cold outside I saw an agency nurse. (Ours have left akso the HCA ??) Asked for the light ti go off but she without warning put it back on . Shooting pains up the back of my head. So that 'test' done. Still light sensitive. The injection was painless . This has never happened before I even wondered if she had given it !! 3 - 4 hours later I actually felt the relief starting . Finished cleaning the bedroom. Made 2 loudspeaker phone calls. Enjoyed my tea rather than just swallowing it in the semi dark. I enjoy food but normally too weary for eating early evening so just do it. So thars the new experience . The clearest sign I've ever had of being rejuvenated within the same day.

It was 6 days after my last SC b12. May it continue.

I'm prescribed 2 weekly from the doctor. Most I inject at home Sc . I have been having 6 weekly IM at the surgery. I'm 2 years in and never gone more than 3 weeks. (Apart from once at the start )

Also trying to work out if any difference IM sc?

I'm definitely gets in your system quicker but speed not always needed as speed can give me side effects /reaction.🤷‍♀️still trying out things to get on.

Still waiting for a symptom free day or a walk to the park I'm longing to do. Such pretty colours at the moment.

Hi Nackapan hope your feeling a bit better today.I also feel the effects of the b12 shot I.M pretty quickly I’ve been doing mines late afternoon this last while as I find I’m not so nervous about doing it because hubbys at home with me and I also seem to sleep better that night.I’m injecting every other day but at the moment I’m starting to notice changes that I didn’t understand because I’d been pretty regular with the shots so I decided to test a theory..my blood tests came back pre diabetis so on the days that I manage to cut out the carbs as much as possible and stay away from the sugar I have relatively good days,on the days that I don’t,like yesterday I really do suffer from ramped up symptoms ,the nausea comes back, the sore eyes, the tummy pains the pounding headache and feeling of lumps in my scalp, the anxiety ramps right up I was really nasty yesterday very short fuse and that feeling of wanting to be alone was back but also the loneliness.

I just itched the whole day too and constantly craved sugary things. My feet and legs are like they have flame throwers built in.

I think that looking at it logically this morning the b12 is definately working but it’s the diabetis that causing a lot of the symtoms that I’d put down to p.a.I think this is something I really need to address now and stop messing around with my diet and eat sensibly and get the weight down.I hope you find the answers your looking for to no fun feeling like that and when you do get the “normal” days it really does make you see what your missing doesent it.hope mum and baby are doing well take care and rest xx

Yrs my friend has the mature onset diabetes and has lost weight and so far managing g on a different diet. She wadnt that symptomatic. But what amazed me wad she had instant attention . Sent on an intense courses for diet . Then still happened on video online . How wonderful to get such appropriate treatment.

My husband has type 1 diabetes so food here is low sugar. I uses eating apples for stews apple or maple syrup

I still have ti weigh his main carbs to get the insulin right for injecting. We havent eaten out in years as always hidden sugars and he can be ill for days trying g to regulate blood sugars. So if I do cheat on food its ready meals with it all written on the back.

I had alot of then when first ill. I think the salt did me some favours with cramps lol.

My weight has never been an issue . If anything I've struggled at times losing it whilst first ill. I've had the test ti determine pre diabetic and reading 32 cant remember what counted in but I think over 45 a problem. I need carbs. Always have but you are right . Had to be in the right form and with the right food. I now cannot tolerate coffee at all . I've tried twice in 2 years and felt rough coming down from it. I do drink tea though . I've tried to reduce this by having fruit teas but tou have ti watch your teeth with thises and so it goes on.

I'm havi g a few days off iron to see if ant difference . Not had a blood test since June. So have requested one for Dec. I really want to be able to walk further as sick of my round the block routine as half a mile and a circle. When I was at my daughters their block was shorter but on a hill . Oh my !! I only tried it twice. I mustve looked drunk. I felt like I wad going to be tipped in the road.

My other daughter cant tolerate fructans she always had a crack g for sugar. She uses maple syrup in homemade biscuits. She uses tour favourite coconut oil in them! Deliciously Ella has some good recipes. She uses dates to sweeten things. We need ' treat food' well I do lol

High % cocoa dark chocolate is healthy. I'm not a fan but your palate does change. I live flapjacks but darn risk my teeth. The horrible empty stomach like nausea seems to accompany fatigue for me. Then I cant eat things like broccoli ect .

Its such a pain in the b.....this rollercoaster. Mother and baby girl doing just fine thank you. Wish I lived closer. Glad I got there and felt good to be of use.

Hope you have some better days soon.

Enjoy your little garden . I noticed the tiny pine Christmas tree I bought last year(cats) has survived planted in the garden . Never was a gardener (husband is and an allotment) but appreciate it more now a been in it more rather than out and about.

I'm waffling now to put off moving g lol

in reply toNackapan

Your right it really is a rollercoaster.lol.I’m naturally greedy for food ,any kind lol,and I do struggle with my weight I’ve never been this heavy but did initially manage to get some off then got bored with it and fell by the wayside again so now my poor body is saying enough.I’ve come to the conclusion that with this p.a thing it’s all or nothing,we really do have to commit to a good healthy lifestyle or it’s a never ending cycle of good one day bad two days.My blood test was 47 and they said pre diabetis but on the day of test they said not to fast just don’t eat the couple of hours before test,I know now this was wrong and I should have fasted ,blood test was late afternoon it was lockdown and only time I could get,I will change things now it’s pretty obvious I’m creating problems so only I can fix this.I bet you wish your issues were such an easy fix I feel quite ashamed moaning the way I do when it’s obviously self Inflicted.

I do like the garden but I’m lazy I would have fake grass surrounded by container plants if it was mines lol I saw this weird spider out there and honestly it’s put me right off going out there now I’m so scared of them it was mainly white with dark legs, never seen one like it before I’d die if it landed on me lol.

take care and stay well .xx
