Please can anyone give me some advice I’ve been using Arnaka to buy my methylcobalamin but I’ve run out and there not getting back to me, does anyone know anywhere else that stocks it and that delivers to the UK?
Thanks.

Yes they have given the agency in the U.K. to Intravita , ( a couple of years ago ) who will supply you . But I’m surprised that Arnika won’t supply you as you are an old customer . Try phoning them in Munich on +49 89452468468
They have English speakers who will
help you . They will supply old customers .
Arnika just aren’t replying to my emails when I contact them for methylcobalamin, thank you tho I will call them tomorrow
I’ve now heard that Intravita don’t supply to the public any longer Try vitaminb12online.com They are in Australia , and sell all the cobalamins . Postage included in price .
I was told they don’t sell to public anymore. I get mine from skinbrighton.co.uk/b12-inje...
Only place I’m aware of but expensive. Maybe worth phoning
OMG —. £100 for 3x 1mg ampoules is a rip-off ! I suggest you try vitaminb12online.com
They are in Australia .
That looks like incredible value. Have you used the service? I noted it’s manufactured in Japan. Don’t know if that’s a reason to be concerned or not. I have liked that the skinbrighton is based in the UK and there is a doctor to speak with and a physical clinic you can visit if needed. But huge price difference. Let me know if any good from Australian/ Japanese place?
I’ve looked up b12online.com up on scam advisor and although nothing really scary, it’s strange they have no reviews after 3 years and are not very transparent about their identity.
Any feedback on them would be great as although their prices are very cheap, I am concerned about potentially using something which isn’t legitimate or possibly dangerous

You're finding out why most people in Europe don't bother with methylcobalamin injections. It's harder to source, less stable, more expensive and no more effective than hydroxocobalamin. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
I have heard different things on methylcobalamin and a lot of people swear by it, I have optic nerve swelling and I was told to switch to methyl as studied have proven to aid in healing. I was on hydroxocobalamin and although it works it take a long time, I’ve now been on methyl for 3 weeks and already see an improvement so I’m gonna stick with it for a bit
Were you told to switch by a real doctor?
Have studies shown it is more effective as a healing aid, compared to hydroxocobalamin?
I was told to by a gp that now runs a b12 charity he also made a documentary and is currently writing a book. And yes studies have shown it to be more effective but I’m also speaking to people on here that prefer methyl so I’m well informed and to be fair my I feel a huge difference on methyl compared to hydroxocobalamin myself
I’m in the U.S. and have been having terrible mental symptoms despite my serum levels being high.....maybe it’s menopause but I have to try the jabs and see if it makes a difference. I don’t like the idea of cyano, which is the only thing my Doc will prescribe and even then only one injection a month.
Where do Americans get good, safe, reasonably priced hydroxy for injection without a prescription but also sell the needles (assuming my local pharmacy won’t sell me the needles without a script?).
Ashley
Why do you not like the idea of cyanocobalamin? Is it because it contains cyanide?
Yes, it does contain a cyano group, which will produce cyanide when it is removed. But it is a teeny tiny amount of cyanide. You would get more cyanide from drinking a very small (10 ml) glass of prune juice.
Or, if prune juice isn't your thing what about apples (them things that keep the doctors away)? Apple seeds contain a compound called amygdalin which, like cyanocobalamin, contains a cyanide group. One apple seed contains about 5 mg of amygdalin, which produces 0.06 mg of cyanide.
1000 ug of cyanocobalamin produces 0.02 mg of cyanide. That's one-third the amount in a single apple seed!
Well, I have two copies of the MTHFR variant a1298c, which makes the methylation process tricky. People with two copies do better with methyl vitamins. Since methyl cobalamin isn’t stable, I figure hydroxy is a good substitute and closer for bioavailable for me than cyano. But I’m not a doctor so I could be wrong. Heck, my mainstream western docs tell me I *am* wrong.
There is no reliable evidence that mutations at any location on the MTHFR gene apart from homozygous C677T have any measurable effect.
Even if homozygous A1298C did have an effect similar to homozygous C677T then the only thing you would need to do is take methylfolate. Taking methylcobalamin would make no difference.

Thanks, Fbirder, for your thoughts and the information. I’m surprised to see so many on here vehemently against the suggestion that some people experience better symptom control with one form of the vitamin than another. You too are told by the traditional medical community that what you know to be true for yourself is “not supported by evidence.” Have a little empathy. Cyano may be just fine. What I want is hydroxy.
Hi Antstarr
I too, swear by methyl and have been using it since being prescribed by a 'real' doctor recommended by the PAS many years ago after a life changing consultation and infusion at a clinic. Some people here are very 'anti' methyl but I certainly wouldn't be paying the much higher price for it if it didn't work for me.
I ordered from Intravita just last week and it arrived next day. Wedgwood heard they'd stopped supplying the public so I don't know if I still got mine as I'm an existing customer. It might be worth a try still? They get their methyl from Arnika. I order 5mg per ml x 10 ampoules and its £40 + vat and postage special delivery by 1pm. I order in bulk as the postage is around £9 if I order 1 box or 4 and it always has a long expiry. They do 1mg per ml too I think. I also asked if they envisaged any supply issue due to Brexit and they laughed and said 'no'. If you're happy that methyl works best for you, I'd stick with it x
Thank you for your post I really am glad someone else has a positive experience with methyl. Exactly what I thought I would not be paying such a high price If I did not feel it was working, you know methyl actually took most of my nerve pain and eye issues down in the first week, it’s brilliant ! How do you store yours? I just purchased from Arnika as I looked on intravita but you have to have a prescription and for me it took to long.
Thanks
Glad you got some 👍. Storage is a thorny issue on here and usually causes heated debate. Some say methyl must be cold stored or it converts and is no longer methyl but if the packaging states room temperature, it must be ok or they wouldn't be allowed to label and sell it as methyl. Having said that, I have always kept mine in the fridge out of habit dating back years. I used to get the 30ml multi use vials and could tell if I'd kept it too long and it wasn't working. I always keep it in the dark with minimal light exposure to the ampoule/loaded syringe I'm about to use x
