Gastritis Hashimotos Omeprozale?

After having my Hysterectomy almost 3 yrs ago,i started suffering from a heavy bloated stomach and inflamed bladder.I put it down to the healing process, as it went on for a few months.I had abdominal scans and ultra sounds because I thought maybe I'd had a bladder prolapse(even though I couldn't have had one that quick).

Round about this time I was also diagnosed with Hypothyroidism which I later discovered was Hashi's after private blood test

MY stomach discomfort returned again in December which seemed to come on after I consumed alcohol, which I hadn't had for quite some time.

I had further tests again which once again came back normal.

The Dr prescribed me Omeprozale which I didn't take because I was under the impression they were bad for people with Hashi's but I've read conflicting options where it said that you need to take them to help Gastritis.

So what do I do?I haven't actually been diagnosed with Gastritis, I've simply gone on statements from people who do have it.

I've been waiting since December and have an appointment with Gastro specialist end of April.

So do I take the Omeprozale or not or what else can I do?

I'm also unable to shift any weight and feel sooo uncomfortable, I'm having to wear bigger sized clothes at the moment as tighter clothes make my stomach worse.I also have inflamed ribs and Fibromyalgia.

I've just in the last 2 days started taking LDN which I hope in time will help.Ive also been gluten free for the last month to see if that would help the bloating ,but it hasn't.

Any advice would be much appreciated.Thank you!!

My personal interaction with Omeprasole was awful. I went back to GP surgery after two weeks on them as I was having constant stomach ache and the runs. The locum told me to continue taking the pills and if things had not settled in a further two weeks I was to return to the surgery. By that time I felt dreadful and had lost a lot of weight. I saw a gastroenterologist at the hospital and was immediately admitted and stopped from taking them. I eventually left the hospital with a diagnosis of Crohn's. Other people I know have had that problem but stopped taking them immediately! My medical notes now have a record of being allergic to them. There are, no doubt , others who swear by them but this was my experience. Best wishes with what ever you decide to do.
