legs ache 24/7 after 6 years shots

I had very low B12 6 years ago, to the point that I had muscle wasting in my calves. I found a doc who prescribed weekly shots and my legs came back with muscle and my damaged nerves that were not dead, woke up with electrical shocks for about the first year.

Now I have a constant ache in my calves and no doc can find anything that helps the pain. I'm on 1200mg a day of gabapentin. sp. and it does nothing. My nerve doc says it may take time but it's been 2 months. Any body else have anything like this. thanks.

Hi

My legs would ache 24/7 & keep me awake at night.

After my loading injections it stopped but would come back after 2 or 3 days. Same with 3 monthly injections also.

I have been self injecting daily since Xmas & my legs aches disappeared until a couple of days ago.

I also get restless legs at night so have hardly slept in last few days.

I have been taking magnesium tablets which I thought was helping a little, till someone told me your body only absorbs a tiny bit from tablets.

So today I've ordered some Magnesium spray from Amazon, it has loads of great reviews & supposedly really works??

It arrives tomorrow so I'll come back & let you know how I get on. It's only £8.18 per bottle

Hi, are you still having your B12 injections and how often? Maybe you could do with increasing them for a while to help the nerves heal?

Does the gabapentin work at all?

Wishing you well
