I get my b12 from Germany syringes from boots b12 cost 10quid syringe free..I been looking on net and 150quid + see private doc you have to and over 150quid for injection They also do other tests you don’t want or need then laboratory fees list go on.Sometimes 1000quid not uncommon be charged...
I now read Inta venous is the way they going ,I can not see advantage of that apart from cost.doing IV not going to be possible. In last 20 yrs or less NHS have changed pirimiter each time I miss the boat I always a couple of points out few years before I would get it,me and many more in that same boat.According to nhs guide lines us with low b12 should feel ok only fully diagnosed PA will get it and even some of them being told take supperments We all know that don’t work..
The place in Germany I get B12 from not direct but the people I buy it off say they winding down so cost will be phenomenal when finally get it.
It will be opening the door to Harly street..
The rediculus thing is B12 is pennies but cost in work hours or the knock on effects a low b12 can cause so many other things or certainly make other problems worse.Cheap blood test b12 only and find out if that or not ,will save nhs a lot of man power and money..I mean how many of us drag ourselves to doc with same problem ‘doc I feels so lifeless’ doc must think oh no not this hypochondriac again ,you feel so weak family life go down the tubes working life ends and life miserable and what do you get anti depression medication far more expensive.Nothing is thought out

You can buy B12 Hydroxocobalamin from German online pharmacies
versandapo.de sell 10 for €8.49 , but out of stock today
In. stock today they have 100 ampoules for €48.19 plus €9.00 courier no matter how many you buy .
bodfeld-apotheke.de sell 10 ampoules for €6.04 . Courier costs €9.00 no matter how many you buy
You may need a translation app for the German online pharmacies .
For ease of ordering you can use the German pharmacies reference numbers .for a pack of 10 —- 03862297
For a pack of 100 —- 03862305
You can buy on Amazon.de which has a site in English .But most of the pharmacies on there do not deliver abroad , only in Germany . I did find 2 pharmacies on Amazon.de that do deliver to U.K. — Bodfeld , named above but they charge €11.70 for 10 ampoules on Amazon.de .There was another — curvendi I think , charging 12.35. Then there is postage on top . You can’t use the reference numbers on Amazon.de Use Rotexmedica B12 depot for Hydroxocobalamin B12 .
Hi Wedgewood... is it safe to get the B12 from these pharmacies? How do you know that they are legit and have passed all necessary tests if purchased in Germany? Cheers.
It is absolutely safe to buy vitamin B12 ampoules from any German online pharmacy . Many members of the PAS do . That doesn’t make them legit , but the online pharmacies in Germany are very strictly controlled by the health authorities there . In a previous life , I lived in Germany for 19 years , and I promise you that the powers that be there, control the online pharmacies with an iron hand .
It’s fortunate for us that injectable B12 is considered harmless in Germany and does not require a prescription , because it means that we can obtain what we need without worry.
Hi Wedgewood please excuse my ignorance but what do you mean by use Rotexmedica B12 depot for Hydroxocobalamin B12? Are there different types of b12? Thanks!
Yes you can buy Cynocobalamin also made by Rotexmedica . But in the U.K. we consider Hydroxocobalamin to be better , although clivealive has used Cynocobalamin for years . Anyhow Hydroxocobalamin is what is used in the NHS . If you don’t put “depot “ you can mistakenly buy Cynocobalamin . As someone did recently . You can use it . But it supposedly does not stay in your system so long .
I not clue why should say that..I just want B12 amps.sorry confusion.my iPad has taken will of its own puting in wrong words.you not first person to make observation.very sorry for confusion
Weird ! I purchased from them only a few days ago ! There is a German online pharmacy called “versandapotheke.de . Entirely different business .. I know that they only deliver to Germany .
Thanks so much it worked on the other site.... this will be my first time injecting so fingers crossed this is what my issue is because I’m bedbound and have had to quit my job because of health issues that are yet to be diagnosed. I’m just about to put a post up with the full details and your expertise would be most appreciated. Thanks for all your help again!
I’m really sorry to hear how unwell you are . Whatever .... B12 injections can do you no harm , unlike many prescription drugs . You cannot overdose either .
I got 100 ampoules from Amazon.de thanks to wedgewoods help & got them delivered no problem. The ampoules are exactly the same as the ampoules the nurse uses at my GP surgery.
Not for much longer.i was still am getting them from there.been told going get very difficult soon.some others on this site said samething. It is a worry.
I believe that shortages of B12 ampoules are , in the main , due to the riduculous claims being made by “ beauty clinics “ , that B12 injections can help people to lose weight . This is a fad that will pass . Also more and more PA patients are becoming aware that they can self- inject and in so doing ,can avoid the return of the dreaded P.A. symptoms before the strictly designated date of their next injection .
for the record - the NHS is not moving to intravenous use of B12 - very much doubt it ever would as it is a much more risky way of delivering and hence going to be much more expensive to administer. There is no research I am aware of that would support it as a general means of delivery. IM and SQ are much lower risk and from studies that I am aware of just as effective.
Ken-ard20. What Gambit62 says, and can I just add to those who self inject
Vitamin B12...
Intravenous injection of vitamin B12 should never be attempted. It is a high risk method of delivery and can result in life threatening complications...and the vitamin B12 is excreted more quickly...so there are NO benefits (in terms of treating B12 deficiency).
B12 is injected IV in hospital at extremely high doses for the treatment of cyanide poisoning...but that's an entirely different matter....and this method of delivery is most certainly not used for the treatment of B12 deficiency.
So, if you self inject, please...do not attempt to inject vitamin B12 intravenously.
I find Methylcobalamin b12 is more effective for me although it seems to be expensive to get from the UK.
I get my self injection kits from a Dr based in Brighton in 5mg. They do 1mg as well which is cheaper. There is no charge for telephone consultations and I found it useful discussing with her.
I haven’t really been able to find Methylcobalamin anywhere else from anyone reputable.
It is expensive but less than when I used to have it injected privately and prefer in my own home. This is the only place I’ve found methylcobalamin in the UK and I liked that I haven’t had to pay additional money for a conciliation.
Let me know if anyone see’s any cheaper. I’m a bit wary of online pharmacies abroad or eBay, would prefer to use UK based doctor or company.
