Not feeling better after b12 injections

Hi, about 4 years ago I've been told I had a b12 deficiency. I did the first 6 then was sent for a blood test. They said that it was ok now so they took me off the injections. Well I'm pretty sure it would say that if I just had then but anyway I went back about 3 years ago and then I started again. I have 1 every 3 months and I feel like I'm getting worse. The first 6 were great, I was full of energy but now I'm having trouble staying awake during the day but when it comes to bedtime I will just lie there until 5 in the morning. This obviously isn't good when I'm at college. I've lost a lot of 2 stone as well, without trying my diet hasn't changed and I haven't been doing much exercise cus I'm too tired all the time. I mean I'm not complaining about losing the weight but it's the how I'm worried about. Sometimes I don't have an appetite at all and everything I eat tastes dry even if it's got butter or ketchup on it. Do you guys have any idea as to what could be causing this.

Thanks x

It sounds like every three months isn’t enough. Ask your doctor to have them more often.

If you’re in the UK you could tell your doctor that the guidelines in the British National Formulary (BNF - you doc will have an online version) have recently changed from ‘every three months’ to ‘every two to three months’.
