Hello, Has anyone gone to a Private GP to get B12 treatment. (injections). If so, does that mean that your NHS GP will no longer keep you on their books? I would suppose so - but its worth a chance!

Best wishes to you all.

I haven't but you can keep your NHS G.p . I know people that do and they are specialists are often the same doctors. I looked into paying to see a neurologist as when I was sent a letter to book appointment there arnt any yet. Next appointments being released 7/12. I've decided to wait as I can't even get there at present and really hoping I will improve on the B12 injections.

Always good to get a second opinion and proper time given to you.

Hope it works out well for you

I haven't gone to a private GP as the one local to me was very expensive, £100+ per apt. I went to Reviv for injection and cost £29. They advised not to tell gp as many will stop prescribing injections. There are also salons that offer the injections. You will still keep your NHS GP

I was looking into the same and have started SI instead. It costs pennies to do. It was so easy too, once over the initial fear. You tube has tutorials and you can find out safe reliable suppliers anywhere on this forum

Thanks. I don't think I need to yet. I started loading doses at the end of June and am on 3 monthly injections. I find I need an injection about week 5 or 6 so last month went to Reviv. My next gp injection is this week, so this has worked well. I'll see how it goes over the next 3 months and then think about SI

Thanks again, Dham. It is for my niece and she hasn't been allowed B12 yet! Very helpful.

Same issue with my daughter. Any private gp I've contacted sticks to the nhs guidelines, not helpful.
