Blood tests/advice

Hi can anyone recommend somewhere to get full blood tests carried out privately? My b12 levels were at 237, I was highly symptomatic.. now they're saying my b12 is too high (after injections), but my iron is borderline low at 111. My legs, ankles, stomach and under eyes were swollen last week when I went on a plane and took a few days to go down since coming back. That's happened twice this year, but never happened before. I still get pins and needles in my upper arms and legs and fatigue. I also got breathless on holiday walking up hill and my legs felt very weak and stiff with cramping feeling in my calves in particular, on top of the swelling. Any advice would be appreciated. The gp was very dismissive and said will test my bloods again in 3 months. Not interested in my ongoing symptoms at all.

I have used Medichecks for blood-testing and found them very competent . Also a doctor will comment on the results , if there is anything not quite right .Look them up and you will see the amount of different tests that they do . Best wishes .

I never used private laboratory tests until after I had been diagnosed with P.A. But someone on this forum will be able to answer your query.

Yes I have used them , a few times for various reasons . But not until after I was diagnosed with P.A. I couldn’t answer your question because I didn’t use a private lab. test for my diagnosis , because I didn’t know about them then .

Do you find medicheks tests reliable? I found another lab that include more of the tests I want checking for a decent price too.

Yes , I did find the checks reliable . What I particularly like is the fact that a doctor comments on the results .

Thanks for your reply. I'm currently on b12 injections. I had a jab around 2 wks ago. Last time they injected me, the gp did my bloods straight after the actual injection. Don't know whether that makes a difference. Really fed up with them now.
