Tell your GP you want a referral to the respiratory clinic at your local hospital. A GP should never ignore chest pain and s/he has no clinical evidence that it is anxiety. He / she needs to see Clinical evidence that it is NOT a heart or lung problem before making assumptions.
I was referred to the respiratory clinic where I had a physical examination, breathing tests, extensive blood tests ( I counted up 40 results) and a CT scan from my neck to abdomen. I'd already had a chest X-ray and ECG. Everything came back normal and I put the shortness of breath down to B12 deficiency ( which GP had told me was normal, despite result being flagged as low by the lab) I also have fibromyalgia so can see breathlessness and costochondritis go with that.
Your dr needs to rule out certain conditions, which are treatable, before giving a label of anxiety.
i suspect that is low potassium which can be very serious. the body uses vast amounts of potassium when making new red blood cells and i ended up in ER. I had dizziness, chest pain, heart palps, full body weakness....it was awful. Up your intake of potassium rich foods,,,,coconut water, bananas, advocadas, raisins, potatoes, sweet potatoes and supplements are also available. This can be serious so needs to be addressed. J

word of caution - you can easily overdose on potassium so do not take supplements unless under medical suppervision.
As others say - speak to your GP
