Which needles should I use?

I have just bought my first lot of B12 from Germany to self inject. I also have syringes. Which brand/size needles should I order? Every time I go to do this the needles look huge.

Thank you for this. I guess I'm a bit anxious about sticking needles into myself. It's such a shame we can't be treated like people with diabetes.

Yes.My husband had little guidance though and does 4 subcutaneous injections a day of insulin.

At least his prescription is never questioned though !!

We are all anxious before self injecting .

I chose the subcutaneous method .

Initially not convinced it woyjd be as effective as again no research.

I've been doing it for over 2 years.

I do have an IM one at the surgery.

Darnt change a thing .

It's good to have some control .

I completely agree about feeling in control of this unpredictable PA condition by self injecting. That in itself made me feel so much better once I began.

Hi Callie

This is what my consultant directed me to buy so I can self inject I HAD a needle phobia but I do it because without it I would feel beyond terrible choose your battles - yes the NHS let’s PA suffers down at the moment but that doesn’t mean you can do nothing about it We are lucky that injectable B12 is available without a prescription.

The battle worth fighting is to get a paper copy of your blood tests and see what other levels are such as folate, potassium etc - others if this forum are more knowledgeable than me on what to check - because the B12 uses other things and can deplete them as it repairs you.

B12.
