Still sitting it out with my GP as to my actual diagnosis, but one thing I'm wondering about in part as far as the two types of gastric antibodies is, is inability to digest or absorb food and nutrients a "thing"?
I always seem to get full quickly, and it's been worse lately. I'm not getting shots yet - he started me on lozenges. My antibody tests were negative but my MMA is 462 when normal US range is 80 to 350.
Thoughts?

MMA is a test that needs to be done in context (kidney function) but it does look as if it is significantly raised which would be an indicator that you are B12 deficient in the absence of evidence of kidney problems.
PA will cause damage to the cells that produce stomach acid leaving you with low stomach acidity - bloating is a potential symptom
i had it without heartburn (the main symptom). i only had lack of appetite, early satiety and some nausea. i was only eating once a day by the time i was diagnosed. and that was almost 3 years after i was diagnosed with a b12 deficiency. my doctor never mentioned it. i read about it on here and demanded testing and had to pay out of pocket. it was definitely worth the $100+ as now my serum iron levels are optimal and appetite has returned.
