I have been injecting B12 Cobalamin 1,000 mcg since the end of April, every other day. I just got the results from a NutraEval and my B12 went from 472 to 500. I have absorption issues with Magnesium, and B1. Recommended is supplementing with Magnesium and B1. I have SIBO, so I can see how absorption of the Magnesium and B1 would be impacted. However I don’t understand why my B12 isn’t higher.
Any thoughts? Any advice on dealing with the SIBO?
Thanks, Sita

sorry but not clear what the test actually is or the methodology.
Things can go wrong with test.
If it is serum B12 then the test isn't particularly useful for managing a B12 deficiency if you are giving yourself shots.
What sample was taken? who took the sample? sometimes samples aren't taken correctly so the results aren't valid.
At the end of the day - people vary a lot in how they retain B12 - though think it would be very unusual for someone to have metabolised B12 that quickly - more likely that there was something wrong with the test sample.
The test uses both urine and blood. My doctor now wants to do IV B complex and see if that impacts my blood levels. I am still having neurological symptoms, even with self injections of Cyanocobalamin every other day and additional sublingual B12.
