Hi,

I have had an active b12 test done privately but can't understand the result, I am also getting a range of nervous system issues etc so would really like to know if this will explain some or all of it.

I have attached a picture of the result line, any help understanding these results are appreciated.

The result shows that your Active B12 is well above (101) the bottom of the range (25.1).

If you’ve not been taking supplements then it means you almost certainly don’t have a B12 deficiency.

If you’ve been taking oral supplements then it means you don’t have an absorption problem.

If you’ve been having injections then the result is fairly meaningless.

fbirder, why would the result be meaningless if there were injections? Doesn't active B12 show the level of B12 the cells can utilise regardless of source? Or am I over-simplifying this?

If you’ve been injecting then the levels will be very high, no matter what was happening in your body.
