I was diagnosed with b12 deficiency (vegan) 2 months ago. I've been supplementing for the past two months the methylcobalamin and have seen improvements, although I've still got quite a way to go (symptoms included foggy thinking, hyperpigmentation, forgetting things, cystic acne etc).
I was doing some research, and figured that b12 and folate work together to reduce homocysteine levels. So I purchased some folate and had a tablet (1000mcg) yesterday, and today I could barely get out of bed due to such deep sleep (slept 9 hours which is pretty normal). I've been feeling very drowsy/tired all day, and not sure if it was the folate or something else.
Has anyone experienced this before ? Could it be my body repairing itself ?

I was vegan because of need, not want. I had acne that was flaring up and most things were triggering it, so I cut out most foods. It's in that timeframe the more serious issues developed.
I get that reaction when I inject my b12 AND dose my folate at the same time. I inject 1000 mcg of B12 twice a month. I take folate every other day half what you take. I also take 1000 units of D3 and soak once a month in Epsom salt baths. B12 injected can knock you out lol so I inject at night
some people don't respond well to methyl folate - may be worth trying plain old folic acid and see if that helps. The dose is also a bit on the high side.
