I'm on montly injections since 6 months

Neurological symptoms improved but still exit

Since I started taking it my symptoms such as anxiety worsen a lot

Any suggestions?

Unless you are grossly low in Folate , 5 mg daily sounds very high . I would substitute it with a modest , but effective 400mcg folic acid tablet daily . This is a normal but adequate maintenance dose .

I would say that the form of folate might be not right for you. What were the levels of folate after 6 months injections?

Folic acid is synthetic form and usually badly absorbed. Would use the folate and normally 800mcg is enough maintenance dose.

Actually folic acid is better absorbed than folate in foods and is as easily absorbed as methylfolate in pills. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/206...

The methylfolate in pills is just as synthetic as is folic acid (indeed methylfolate is made from folic acid patents.google.com/patent/U...

So what I can do my anxiety is severe and my heart pounding most of time and my hand sweety and shaking

Shall I continue with 5 mg or stopped or decrease the dose

I would stop, get some 400 mcg folic acid tablets from the supermarket, and try them.

If your B12 deficiency is inadequately treated, high folate can precipitate or aggravate the neurological and haematological consequences of vitamin B12 deficiency by increasing the demand for vitamin B12.

Maybe this the reason my neurological symptoms got worsen

So shall I stopp the folic acid or decrease the dose to 400 mcg

You need to know the reason your GP prescribed 5 mg folic acid. What was your folate before you started the folic acid? How long have you been taking 5 mg?

I haven't had folate level measuref but my GP told my that folic acid and b12 working together and predescribed 5mg folic acid for me

If your folate wasn't measured at all you should stop the 5 mg folic acid right away. I would ask the GP to do a folate measurement ASAP, then get folate measured after about a month and use that result to decide whether or not to take folic acid, and how much to take.

That's shocking. Your GP should definitely not have prescribed without measuring folate first!

Two weeks since i have started taking 5mg folic acid

I would perhaps suggest actually stopping for a week or two to let the folate levels drop, and then take 400mcg daily.
