B12 and anxiety

I suffer from low b12 levels - 130 which were corrected 3 years back with b12 shots ( neurobion injections 1000 mcg) . However, since my body is unable to absorb b12 from food, I had been taking b12 shots every 3 months till last year.

However, for the past 6 months I am unable to take b12 injections as it results in an extremely high anxiety state - 2/3 days after taking the shot.

I had tried tablets, but it results in the same reaction. I am even unable to take b complex vitamins with just 15 mcg of b12.

Aside: I also suffer from anxiety and take 0.5 mg x 2 clonozapem tablets for the same.

guessing that the brand hasn't been changed.

all I can really suggest is trying tablets that are just B12 to see if that works given that it seems to be happening with both cyano and methyl

Thanks... I guess taking b12 alone may be a good option.

I shall try the same. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Would a B12 spray be appropriate?

I ain't sure. I shall discuss the same with my doctor.

The basic problem that I face is convincing doctors about the delayed reaction to B complex injections. Typically my blood pressure shoots upto 150/105 and remains elevated for the next 5-7 days, along with extreme thirst. My doctor believes this is all in my mind.

I am currently at my wits end. Hopefully, something will work out.

Thanks for the response. Really appreciate it.

Clonozapem may be producing unwanted side affects so might be worth checking out what these are. Benzodiazepines also have the potential to deplete the body's nutrients, such as Biotin, folic acid, Vitamins D & K, calcium and melatonin.

My vitamin D at 8 ng/ml was definitely low. I face the same issue with vitamin D supplements. But fortunately, I am able to correct the same naturally.

Calcium is normal. Haven't checked for folic acid, vitamin K or biotin deficiency. Although, iron is a bit low.

Even if clonozapem is playing any part in this, reducing the dosage is not an option at present.

Just an update : Apparently switching to a different composition - FOLIC ACID-15MG+NICOTINAMIDE-200MG+CYANOCOBALAMIN-0.5MG seemed to be working fine for me. Not sure about the reason. But happy that this composition is being well tolerated by my body.
