Yes , some of the videos are good , but some are not . So view as many as you can . After nearly 3 years of S.I. , I can tell you that one important thing is to get as fine a needle as possible for the injection.. I use a 1inch needle ,gauge 25 , into my thigh muscle ( outer middle 1/3 of thigh ,where the muscle is closest to the surface ) Absolutely painless .. I’m afraid that I’m a long way from Somerset, or I would be only too pleased to help in person . Very best wishes.

If you go on facebook there is a b12/PA support group with loads of info. I think is over 17000 in the group very informative and helpful.

I don't believe there is much difference between the absorption of sub cut injections and intramuscular injections. IM might absorb slightly quicker but, once you've had a few injections to get B12 into your system, it's as good either way. ;)

Hi. Thanks for your comments I am self injecting every week and have a three monthly with the doctor I have heridatry P.A. my mum became totally disabled. I have been having injections for nearly 40 years. I have noticed of late that my weekly injections are not lasting as well. I have heard from Doctors that im does get into your system and gets absorbed better. If that is the case I would rather do one im than two or three sub cut a week. Worth a try x z x

I've tried IM and SubQ and prefer SubQ, I found the slower absorption rate lessens the nausea and side effects I get when injecting IM. Much less painful than IM too and no bleeding or bruising. I use smaller amounts more frequently and find this works best for me, everyone is different though!! I aim to inject 1000mcg over a month usually 250mcg per week.
