On the 'Today' programme - radio 4 this morning:

bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09qb0...

Starts about half way through. John Humphries interviews various professors on how the immune system is involved in most disease.

They mention inflammation in Alzheimer's and the bad effects of stress, lack of sleep etc.

Hi Marz

Yes - so interesting that all roads seem to lead back to the gut/brain....

The professors seem to confirm other information about autoimmune too - inflammation and stress, in particular.

BTW, am so grateful for your tip on turmeric for the inflammation of diverticulitis. Since I began taking this a few weeks ago and increasing lipoic acid, I had a fantastic few days last week and couldn't believe how normal I felt 🤗

The sudden cold weather/stress seems to have brought back me back down to earth again but I'm sure it's just a blip.

The bad days help us to appreciate the good ones :-)
