Recently Bloods - advice would be great please.

I have my bloods done recently and I would be grateful for some advice please.

B12 serum 297 ng/L (150.0 - 1000)

Serum Ferriting 32ug/L (12.0-250)

Serum folate 4.8ug/L (2.0-18.8)

My Thyroid also has a part to play in my rent symptoms I think and my GP has referred me to an endocrinologist today. However I feel lethargic all the time, wanting to sleep most afternoons, pins and needles in my hands and feet, dry skin on my face and scalp, irritable.

I would be grateful for any advice, I think my feels are still low and should be better, but I'm not entirely sure.

Thank you

Sarah

whilst it is possible that you are B12 deficient your levels look quite good and it isn't an obvious call - unless you have macrocytic anaemia (larger, rounder red blood cells).

Suggest that you sort out the thyroid - sounds as if that was an obvious call - and then come back to B12 if getting your thyroid problems sorted doesn't resolve the problem ... though I know that sorting out thyroid levels isn't a quick fix.
