Head rush
Have you had your blood pressure measured Shelleighjones ? Try getting up more slowly and go and see your doctor.
Your blood pressure can fall if you stand up quickly - called postural hypotension. Getting up slower would help but if it is getting worse would definitely go with clivealive and recommend seeing your GP
Thank you 4 ur reply. I’m going 2 the Doctors this week with a long list of problems I’m experiencing hope he’s up 4 listening 😐. Will let u no how I get on. X
Can I suggest you write down the things that you want to discuss so that you have a list? I find it helps me focus and chose the most important things. I have even written out the whole thing that I want to say and handed it to my GP to read; this is much quicker than me saying it. I also book a double appointment when I know I need more than 10 mins.
I suffer from postural hypertension and when I was young I sometimes fell over if I got up from the floor. Not able to get up quickly from the floor anymore so I don't often get dizzy from it
When I asked my GP to check me for Postural Hypotension, he took my BP when I had been sat for 5 mins or so; left the arm band on and then took it again immediately after I stood up. Mine was apparently not bad, only dropped by abut 15 mm Hg.
I have to supplement b12 and I have auto-immune thyroiditis ( hypothyroid as a result). Not sure whether either or both of these things are part of the cause. I am currently working on a new thyroid regime and have found that my body temperature is nearer normal and there is not as big a gap between my sitting and standing BP (I have my own BP machine). I mention this in case thyroid issues may be affecting you which sometimes correlate with b12 and folate issues.
I’m feeling so stupid and worthless atm X
Aah, bless. Its very easy to feel like that when you're battling health issues, we've all been there Although it opened my eyes to how badly I'd been looked after in the past, I did find getting a copy of my medical notes worth doing. My latest GP has all the results on line for you to see which is great but it is only the results from that surgery. Invariably there will be someone on these forums who has got whatever it is you have and will be able to offer words of wisdom. Once you have some answers you'll start feeling better. Good luck with your GP let us know what you find out.
Sorry I haven’t read other replies but you need to rule out Low blood pressure as those are the symptoms so could be that.
🙂
If by head rush you mean a sudden onset of unsteady gait then yes, I am experiencing the exact same thing. Coincidentally, mine appears to be getting worse. Sorry about not having a solution as I'm struggling to fix this myself.
Thanks 4 ur reply x I also suffer with being woken numerous times in the night where my hands feel like they r going 2 burst. Twitching legs. But I hate the head rushes sometimes I have 2 hold on 2 wot ever I can cuz my whole body shakes it only lasts seconds but it still extremely scary. Feel like a hypercondreact all the time. Sick of feeling crappy all the time. 😔
