Just left hospital after seeing haematologist who info me I didn't have low B12 at 142 stating this was normal. Didn't think it could be PA even thought my dad had it & my daughter also has it sister B12 deficient. Doing blood test and told it will be 8 weeks before results come back. Having nerve conduction & EMG test next week as went private to see neurologist wondering if should see private haematologist as well as don't think going to get anywhere with the NHS. Have bought some B12n, syringes & needles to inject but decor drawing up needles, anybody help with size & colour of drawing up needles I should buy. Getting very frustrated at getting fobed off by NHS. Don't know what we pay for as don't get a good service, but didn't really expect to as went to Ashton general ☹️

Haematologist
Sorry to hear about your experience - pretty poor knowledge of B12 guidelines on the part of the haemo you did see. Unfortunately there really is no guarantee that a private haematologist would be any better though it may be worth a go.
Would really advise that you try to get your first B12 injection done under medical supervision because of the small risk of an allergic reaction. I personally do injections subQ and so use an insulin needle for both drawing up and injecting without the need to switch.
I use a 21g (green) to draw up and 23g (light blue) to inject. When I say "I use", I mean my other half does it as I've not got the bottle to do it myself and as a pharmacist she's trained with IM injection technique. Worth getting someone trained to show you at least as the YouTube videos are variable and some don't seem to have their technique right
