Where would I go to privately get a blood test of active B12?

You could try searching for haematologist on BUPA or one of the other Private Medical Insurance organisations then contact your nearest directly, to see if it's available and what they charge. Clearly you are only using BUPA online as a resource, not as an agency service.

I would say though that you might find such a service must be contracted by a GP referral. Perhaps someone else here can give guidance on this.

I live in Spain and there you can go to a laboratory and request one and pay for it. Try looking up laboratories and ring and ask. Good luck.

There are some Active B12 tests in there - however, if it is not 100% certain, ask. I think I'd be right in saying that tests done through TDL (The Doctors' Lab) are all Active B12 now.
