my gp did a intrinsic factor antibody test after he started me on a loading dose of b12 injections. the results say negative the markers are (0 - 24) and my result was 3. not sure what this means. thank you for reading

It means that according to the test results, you do not have P.A. But, the I.F test is only 40-60% accurate, so negative doesn't always mean negative, if that makes sense.
Thanks for your answer, so im no closer to finding out why im in so much pain. i have had 5 loading doses of b12 and 5mg of folic acid daily for 2 1/2 months and still feel the same if not worse my muscles are burning.
Sorry that you still aren't feeling great. Getting a proper diagnosis isn't always easy. I'm glad (in a way) that my I.F. came back positive, because at least I had an answer.
It can take a long time to feel better, especially if you've been low in B12 for a long time - your body has a lot of healing to do.
I started jabs last November and now self inject once a week. I still don't feel 100%, but am getting slowly better over time. There was no magic getting up one morning and feeling great, like some people report. I also still have days where I feel totally blatted - especially if I do too much.
