Does anyone exercise? I just got diagnosed and my legs are affected badly - to the point where I use a walker! I want to strengthen my legs. I finished loading injections and now on weekly injections with daily D3 w/K and folate 2400 2x a day. I haven't walked unassisted for 2 years! Kept getting misdiagnosed.

Hi Blinkysmom I can only speak from personal experience as I'm not a medically trained person.
I've had P.A. for 45 years so I know the limits of my energy levels so haven't "bothered" too much about exercise until I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes a couple of years ago and was told that that was exactly what I was supposed to do.
Walking was suggested but because of my age, unsteady gait and frequent falls I decided I needed something sedentary and came across the "exercise bike" below.
I sit in my armchair and pedal away for 20 minutes a day and because it is electronically powered I can regulate the speed and "difficulty" to suit the day.
I'm not saying it will get you walking again but it is a pleasant way of exercising your leg muscles and getting the blood pumping whilst sitting comfortably.
I think Clive's idea of the exercise bike where you stay seated in an armchair is brilliant. But as you've got a daignosis ( I'm assuming of P.A?) and you've not been able to walk unaided for a while, you should be referred to a physio who will offer advice.
Don't do too much I think is the maxim to live by. Can you sit comfortably and raise you arms, holding weights ( start small with tins if beans).
I think a physiotherapist is your best bet.
