Will levothyroxine affect b12 deficiency tests?

Hello there! I've finally managed to get my doctor to look into B12 deficiency as a possibility for my symptoms (Hooray!) and I'm paying for an MMA screening myself. I just wanted to check if taking my thyroid medication, levothyroxine, is known to have an affect on B12, Intrinsic Factor or MMA tests. Thanks!

BartelbySamsa,

No, Levothyroxine treats low thyroid hormone it won't affect B12, IFA and MMA.
