Hi everyone! I had a vit B12 test with medichecks last week and the range was said to be 25 - 165 Pmol/l. Does this seem low to you?? My result came back 250 which has been flagged as over range.

Thanks very much for reading!

That will be an Active B12 test which has a wholly different range.

Mine with them came back as >256 but I put that down to the fact I was supplimenting b12 up to a week before the test.

My active b12 before supplementing was 67.8 pmol and I was feeling quite poorly (serum b12 at the time was 153pg)

I'd be more concerned if it was way over range and I'd not been supplimenting.

High levels on supplements aren't a worry where as a high level without taking lots of b12 could be worth looking into.

I had 8 loading doses of vit b12 in October 2016 so I'm guessing it's just from that. Previously I had been really low and had neuro symptoms.
