It's a good idea to try a gf diet to reduce your impressive antibodies. If after some time (six months maybe) you have no result you can drop it and if it helps then all the better.

When do you plan to raise your levo? You may feel worse on such a low dose.

Yes, because it takes some time to get into your system and at the moment you're already unwell it can make you feel worse, but that may be because you're on so little relative to how hypo you are.

May I ask what happens to you when you try to raise your dose?

Hi Gary, you definitely need more hormone. I would ask your GP for an endocrinologist referral. If you feel worse on more levo it could be that your either not converting well or are producing a lot of reverse T3 which occurs when under stress amongst other reasons. Reverse T3 blocks the bodys receptors which could account for the worsening symptoms as it blocks T3 the active hormone from working. Taking hormone as T3 can reduce this if you get an amenable endo but it is hugely more expensive but may be the answer in your case and yes going gluten free is probably a good idea. You won't get a reverse T3 on the NHS but can get it done privately. However if the doctors let you try T3 that may not be necessary.

You need good levels of Ferritin - folate - B12 - VitD - for you to feel well and for your T4 to convert well into T3 which is the active hormone - needed in every cell of your body.

Did you mean to post this on TUK? - nothing at all about B12.

Nothing in these results to indicate whether or not you should go gluten free - for that you would need to be tested for conditions specifically related to gluten - eg coeliacs. Going gluten free is only going to make a difference if you have a gluten intolerance. You need to be tested for coeliacs before going gluten free and it is a good idea to get checked as there can be other consequence of coeliacs that going gluten free won't resolve so you might still be at risk from those.

It does seem that some people who aren't coeliacs may have problems with gluten but the only way to check that would be to see what going gluten free does for you after being tested for coeliacs.
