Finished my first loading dose of b12 injections 2 weeks ago while I was having the injections I couldn't stop eating which was a good thing because I needed to put weight on but now I'm barely eating anything and feel like crap again should I go back to my gp

Hi Newberryk sorry to read that you are feeling poorly.

Why are you not eating? Tummy upset or can't be bothered?

It's not uncommon for some symptoms to appear to get worse once the treatment starts as the B12 gets to work repairing the damage done to your nervous system.

Do you have any idea what your Folate level is as this is essential to process the B12 you are having injected?

Certainly go back to your GP with a list of your symptoms. It may well be that you need more frequent injections as loading doses should be given "until there is no further improvement"

I hope you get to feel better soon and wish you well.
