Hi everyone can u help ive had vib b12 injections for about 8 years now every 8 weeks. I never feel refreshed i struggle daily i get up at 7am by 20 am im ready to sleep again my get up and go has gone. Any ideas wud b apreciated

Have you had your Folate level tested as this is essential to process the B12 you are having injected Amandajh2016 ?

Vitamin D deficiency seems to be "flavour of the month" lately and has similar symptoms.

Do you have a diagnosis of P.A?

I take levothyroxin as have thyroid problem too due to takin 1200 mg of lithium daily due to depression i work full time and im either asleep or in work no inbetween

folate is another vitamin so not related to thyroid - but very important for processing B12.

Thyroid symptoms are similar to those of B12 so that may not be helping.

Lithium is a pretty strong thing to be taking just for depression ... which could actually be due to the B12

Some people do need a lot more B12 than others so it is possible that you are under treated. Has your doctor ever done MMA/homocysteine - these tests look at products that build up if there isn't enough B12 available at the cell level (which is where it counts) - though they can be raised by other factors - eg folate being low in the case of homocysteine - so aren't tests that can be used on their own/out of context, however, they could clarify if you have a functional B12 deficiency going on

Functional B12 deficiency = lots in your blood but not getting through to cells leaving you deficient at the cell level.

Thankyou dont think ive had these but havin b12 injection next wed will ask then. I had b12 before the taking lithium also take 45mg mertazapine and 300mg venlaflexin
