Wired and tired

Just a random musing, feel free to ignore.

These contradictory feelings in the 24/48 hours or so after having a B12 jab feel so odd after decades of being in a constant mental and physical stupor. My brain is screaming 'Let's run!!!' and my body is saying 'Is it bedtime yet?'.

It's early days, and I'm still constantly shattered and healing. But I'm looking forward to the day when my brain says 'let's run!' and my body says 'OK, come on then' :)

Hi topazrat it just shows that the B12 is "working" at repairing the damage done to your body whilst deficient.

Do you know what your Folate level is as this is essential to process the B12?

I hope you continue to improve rapidly.

Folate is at the high end of normal and I'm taking a daily multivitamin, mineral, iron supplement that contains 200 ug (100% RDA)

Hi topazrat,

sounds like you are taking good care of yourself. Here's hoping you get mind and body in synch soon! It has taken me since Feb up till Christmas to even feel the B12 injections, and I've just had 2 consecutive "normal" days (well, 1&3/4, because I pushed my luck on day 2 !)- so keep checking your progress, so you don't forget how far you've come, wait for your body to get there and when it does, be gentle with it at first!

Best of luck, let us know how it goes.
