B12 and Wipes

With the loading dose of B12 is it still protocol to use a

alcholol wipe , it was bleeding a quite a bit with Nurse, or have things changed? As i had Mitral Valve repair some years ago

and have to be careful with Dental Work etc for Infection Endorcarditis ?

Hi Advice1 I can't answer your question other than to say that when I had my first B12 injections 45 years ago the nurse did used to clean the site with a swab, but for the last many years this is not now done.

Maybe they re-used needles in those far off, long ago days whereas now the needles are used once and disposed of making it unnecessary to swab.
