These are my recent lab results. Over in the Thyroid community the knowledgable people told me my hemoglobin is rock bottom; I have just come back from the GP who says its fine that the low measurement is 10 so mine is fine. Is this true? I feel terrible.
Am I anaemic? : These are my recent lab... - Pernicious Anaemi...

Although the title for this forum has anaemia in it, the forum is actually focused on B12 deficiency which will eventually lead to anaemia but anaemia isn't always amonst the first symptoms to appear - the name is an historical anachronism in as much as the disease was first documented from anaemia patients - long before the cause had been documented and long before vitamin B12 was even discovered.
Your haemoglobin is just in range.as are your red blood cell count, and your MCH, and HCT. These factors are used as indicators of iron based anaemia.
Ranges are based upon averages but people aren't averages so it isn't always the case that coming out in normal range means everything is okay for you, so the fact that they are low may be indicative of a problem for you.
The one test that is out of kilter is the GFR. The last section is indicators of kidney function. this is a link to a page on NHS direct which relates to GFR - but not sure what the final section of the tests results says about this as there may be some information missing looking at the print out above - possibly some notes at another point.

I'm really not an expert on blood tests so can't really comment on the chloride - except that a quick search implies that it is high chloride levels that are a more serious problem rather than low chloride levels
this link looks at what chloride levels in blood may indicate

Thank you for this, I'm not sure why the doctors didn't pick up on your observation about the GFR I don't know if I should be worried or not about this.
