I am now having regular B12 injections and am wondering if there are any other supplements/vitamins I could be taking to help with the nerve damage I have sustained. Does anyone take any other supplements? I would be interested to hear.

To be honest the only things I'm aware of are trying other forms of B12 - a mixture of adenosyl and methyl has been used to treat diabetic neuropathy so it might be worth trying that - though keep an eye on how you feel as people can vary very much in how they respond to different types of B12 - particularly methyl. If you have a reaction to methyl you could try adenosyl on its own.

You need to make sure that you have enough folate as levels can fall if you are processing more B12.

However, I can be a bit one-track when it comes to B12:)

Hi,

i hope your iron and folate levels are being monitored as you need good levels of these in order to have a good uptake of B12.

I read once that coconut oil was good for nerves but I can't remember why.

I try to eat healthily and have lots of veg. including salad.

I read an article about Terry wahls, an american doctor who said she had cured her MS with a particular diet. She wrote a book "The Wahls Protocol". I think there is also a video on Youtube.

Sally Pacholok recommends covering all bases with injections and supplements.

I'd recommend Jarrows Methylcobalamin 5000 mcg, taken sublingually (good reviews on Amazon for neurological symptoms) plus a good quality multivitamin and minerals, e.g. Higher Nature, Solgar.

Dr Terry Wahls was vegetarian with MS but recovered after following a nutrient rich paleo type diet:
