I ordered mine from Canada a couple of years ago. I got 10x sandoz ampoules that break open. The strength was 1000mcg/ml.

The customs slip for import to the USA said "injectable vitamin."

This was when I was fighting with my Dr for more frequent injections and then the pharmacy ran out altogether because regent in Rochester, ny stopped making them for a while.

You get cyano in any case. Because they were ampoules, I had to take the entire 1ml each time.

Now my dr has prescribed weekly and the pharmacy gives me 4x 1ml vials at a time. I inject 0.5 ml twice a week. Most pharmacies have the injection but you need the prescription from the GP to get them.

I've had two different doctors. the first treated me like a hypochondric, going as far a prescribing antidepressants for my anxiety. This caused me to now also have tinnitus.

It is hard when the Dr thinks that they are god's gift to humanity. Many have studied long and hard to get their credentials and need to be respected.

So first start a log book to build up evidence of your issues and the severity score (you come up with yourself) shows you how your symptoms are progressing. Try to track as many as you notice. There are more than you think.

Discuss, level headedly, with your GP as a partner. Don't treat them as incompetent but make sure they know that you have a system in place to monitor whatever they are going to try on you.

Realize that the database in their computer does not have enough information in it to treat you properly. Until this technology matures, they will use it as a crutch to diagnose conditions that they are not familiar with.

You may have to allow them to try various remedies to allow them to get some experience with your method which is probably new to them and so they initially distrust it.

Read all information pamphlets that come with your medications. Note every side effect - and come up with a scoring system when you notice one of them.

Some symptoms are from the injection itself. Become familiar with these. Some are similar to ones you already experience, so try to sort out what causes it. You logbook will help track the time (there is a delay for several hours up to 2 days) between taking a medication, or eating a food, and having a symptom.

They more familiar you are with your symptoms, the better you dialog with your Dr will be.

Don't think you are inferior to the Dr.

My doctor prescribes the shots, but I've had a horrible time finding to be 12. Target pharmacy seems to be the only place that stocks it.

Currently, in the US, injectable B12 is only available by prescription. It is possible to order it online - usually from other countries - but the shipment may be subject to export laws from the originating country that may hinder receiving the shipment. For example; while it is perfectly legal to travel to Canada and purchase up to 50 doses of injectable B12 (because it is sold legally over the counter in Canada and up to 50 doses of any over the counter product can be brought back with you into the United States), it is no longer legal for Canadian retailers to mail injectable B12 to the US due to a law that was passed in Canada about six or seven years ago.

If you look around online, you may find some compounding pharmacies in the US that make and sell B12 (the one I remember ordering from was called TrimNutrition). They are legally required to have a prescription for each order as well, but some skirt the law a bit by employing someone to issue prescriptions for each order.

I have purchased methylB12 from within the US and cyanoB12 from Canada so it can be done. The facebook PA/B12D group maintains a list of where you can buy injectable B12 depending on the country in which you live, you'll need to join to see it.
