Amantadin extended release

Hi all,

My doctor prescribed me Amantadin extended release. It a new drug look like for Sinemet work longer and dyskinesia. She gave 1 pill before bed ? Have anybody tried? I do not have much dyskinesia, but sometimes I do. I have left side tremor and stiffness. Sinemet works only 2.5 hours.

Which version of Sinemet are you taking - immediate release or controlled release?

Control release.

My husband takes Amantadine 3 times a day and sinemet2and 1/2 tabs every 4 hours - we tried sinemet every 2 and 1/2 hours and it made walking worse. He was dx with PSP 6 yrs ago. Falling is our biggest issue - well, walking!?!?!

I am on 10ml of liquid. I live in nova scotia Canada and we head a shortage of pills so had to switch to the liquid. Sometimes I think it works and sometimes not. It seems that u can't drive around 3 o'clock each day. That's when the trennkr in the foot starts . It's almost like clockbwork. Last about an hour. At night sitting in my recliner watching tv it starts again around 8 oclock and last about a hour then as well. Strange but I keep taking liquid any way. My neurologist is actually prescribing it to help for energy boost.

I have blurred vision from amandine so I stopped taking it
