Hi all as of tonight I am off Pregabalin as my stomach is roaring like a lion and my bowels are well just wet. As my legs are getting sore I will take my Cocodamol 30x500 mg. An appointment in order to see my doctor will be made tomorrow. No doubt a new pill will be tried.maybe just maybe this time, have you been here .

Hello there, How did you stop the pre gabalin , how long did you take to do it,? I had no pregabalin for 48hrs my own carelessness forgot to get prescription before the chemist closed on a Saturday . By Monday morning my husband had to stay home from work as I was a total wreck .cannot explain how I felt ,i certainly was very anxious .

to come off pregabalin you need to do it slowly,i am on 6 a day,i would reduce by 1 a day,ie.5 a day instead of 6,over a period of 3 weeks so every 4 days reduce by one capsule, take 2 in th morning,1 at lunch time 2 at night, next 2,1,1, next 1,1,1,next,1,0,1,etc

I titrated up to the full amount of pregab and gaba but neither did anything for me. They just don't work for everyone. We really need new solutions for pain. Hopefully a breakthrough will come especially as apparently 10 million Americans suffer chronic pain. That's so many people! Come on science ffs! How are the legs today?

Albee hi yes these messages that can be shared are great it just shows you how many people that have Chronic Pain Syndrome are indeed out there and tge fact that we are here for each other. we are happy even in our own pain when we read that someone has a good day a thing that we all wish for ourselves.

hi,i have been in your situation with gabapentin and pregabalin to the point where i now have diverticulitus.the only thing that has calmed my innards down is 'actimel' live bio yogurt drinks,2 a day, works marvelously it puts back into your system the good bacteria thats missing from your gut, please please try it,it does work i promise, just one more thing,it seems the the co-codamol dose is a bit high.good luck

Be really careful reducing pregablin. It's prescribed for epilepsy as well as nerve pain & it wasn't still I was suffering horrible withdrawals far worse than morphine!) that I called my best friend who is a doctor. She told me because they change your seizure threshold, its dangerous to come straight off them because even if you're not taking them for epilepsy you can induce a seizure during withdrawal. I re-read the leaflet & its really clear on not stopping them without speaking to your doctor & doing it slowly. Personally, I found omeprazole works wonders for dealing with gastro-effects of prescription meds!!
