I believe saying these things to yourself does help you to have a positive attitude to life. Feeling sorry for yourself does not do you any good. Keep it up Sandra. You ARE SPECIAL.
I do still have sorry for myself days now and then. it's those days that help me recognise the good ones.
regards,
sandra.
This should be everyone's mantra, not just those with pain.
I have learned to take delight in the small things in life - my achievements really wouldn't hit the radar on a "normal" person but for me I can sing about them, dancing is off limits :}
One more thing I tell myself is
that this is me now and the future is full of surprises waiting to happen
Just because my pain is prefixed with the word chronic does not mean that with the advancements in medication, surgical intervention that I may at some point in the future have the help I need to get rid of it.
