Have you used an app to help manage your condition? If so, would you recommend it?

Apps for chronic pain
I have "Manage My Pain" app which I've found to be the best so far for monitoring patterns and changes.
'My Pain Diary' is an excellent app for recording and understanding patterns to flare ups. It's really comprehensive and easy to use. Currently for iPhone but I use it magnified on my iPad just fine! Well worth the few quid it cost.
not sure I would like such a detailed focus on my pain as I've spent so much time pushing it into the background.
I understand your concern. I think it's about striking a happy balance. I have found it really useful to track when I am experiencing flare ups and how long they last. It is also useful to keep tabs on any other symptoms that may be occurring and gives your doctors more detail to work with.
I have a long list of conditions, one of which is migraine. I have 10-12 migraine attacks per month and I have been writing a migraine diary on my computer for the last 6 years. I write date and time of attacks, how much medication I take and I rate the attack from 1-6 in terms of severity. It helps me to keep track of how my condition develops and I often make print-outs to my doctors. It doesn't take much time to write down after each attack, and after all these years I am really happy I have this record and will continue to do it. It's not really an 'app' as such, just a (very) long Word document, but I thought this could be relevant here.
Take care,
Helene
I find 'pain tracker' brilliant. I used the free app, but you can only keep about 3 weeks daily pain diaries, so I bought the full app, which means I can keep a continuous record. If you don't mind deleting earlier entries you can stick with the free version. You can generate r and export reports from your diary as PDF files, which is also useful to track changes.
