Sorry you’re not feeling great!

I’ve been on Metoject for over 12 years and it’s fine but early days I think it took a while to settle down. I tend to inject before I go to bed so I’m asleep and not aware of what’s happening . Perhaps give that a try?

sorry but I can not recommend methotrexate.Your Drs are not telling you it depletes folate & vit B12 which is essential for nerve & blood maintenance .I saw my next door neighbour deteriorate waste away taking it & folic acid .She told her Dr I saved her life by ceasing her meds She took vit b12 sublingual , methyl folate in an active vit BComplex She is alive & well still supplementing with vit b supplements. .

Thank you, I was hesitant to take it, but grasping at straws, and so looking fwd to continuing prednisone taper, as I feel afrer 8 yrs has contributed to a lot of other health issues in the last year, Ivebonly taken 4’injections in last 4 weeks, with no pain relief yet of course, but seriously considering stopping before any of the several possible side affects happen to me,

Can I ask why you are taking all these heavy meds ? I believe you are experiencing inflammatory nerve pain from nutritional deficiencies eg vit D ,Vit B12 ,magnesium, calcuim, zinc, vit C .I haven’t met anyone yet that has received good pain relief from drugs or injections of ,cortisone,Lyrica,Neurontin,Gabapentin.50 yrs ago I had injected into my spine x3 caudal blocks cortisone for supposively sciatica .Now my all my spine has degenerated especially lumbar .I have scoliosis, spondylosis & severe cervix& multi level spinal stenosis I take only vitamins & minerals bi weekly b12 injections to repair nerve damage .I have Pernicious Anaemia.

Yesvwelln8!yrs ago was diagnosed with polymyalgia rheumatica, had never heard of ot, it s autoimune disease, pit on 40 mgs of prednisone, gradually tapered to 4 mgs until Dec 2022 had GCA symptons, so rheumy put me back to 40 gs, as you can lose your eyesight if not treated, had tests done , result negative, only showed subacute stroke, anyway started tapering again, but slow process , ot of stressful events especially July 2022 lost son to cancer, leukemia, been fighting since 2018, anyway ast year and onward health problems, MRI s exrsys etc detetmined osteoarthritis, back, hip hands, since June of this year been in chronic pain, hard to taper prednisone but did get down to 4 mgs by april of this year, so now as said rheumy said only med may help is methotrexate, that s why I started on it, I take calcium and vit d3, and that is why Im on prednisone and methotrexate,
